Submission Guidelines
Hey iKas'lami fam, We're beyond excited to bring you the "iKas'lami" Presenter Search.
Now, we've got a special challenge to kick things off. But before you pull out your phones and start recording your audition tapes please read through the challenge brief and submission Guidelines, and then fill in the audition application form at the bottom.

Create a captivating video with a maximum length of 2 minutes

Be authentic, genuine, and let your iKasi spirit shine.

Make sure your Audio and video is of good quality and clear.

Upload your video to your own social media pages (Tik tok, Instagram, Facebook etc.) by no later than the 9th of February 2024

Share your video on your personal social media platforms (Instagram, Twitter, Tik tok, Facebook, etc.).

Use the official challenge hashtags: #IkasiLamiPresenterSearch #MyiKasiStory.

Encourage your followers to watch, like, comment, and share your video.

After the submission deadline, our panel of judges will review all entries.

The top 10 participants with the most engaging and authentic iKasi stories will be selected for the next round.
Top 10 selection
Screen Test

The selected top 10 will be invited to Johannesburg for a screen test.

The screen test will take place at a location that will only be disclosed to the Top 10.

Participants will have the opportunity to showcase their on-screen presence, charisma, and ability to connect with the iKasi audience.

Travel and accommodation will be at the participant's own cost, and will not be provided for by the company.

Please note that we're not just looking for people with a huge following on social media....

Talent is the deciding factor for us.... People liking your audition is an added bonus... But it's not the number one deciding factor for the producers ...

So even if you don't have a huge following on social, if you're talented enough you could still make it to the top 10 and maybe even win it.... So don't hesitate
Challenge Brief:

Take us on a virtual journey through your Kasi (township), Share stories about the streets, the people, and the experiences that shaped who you are today.

Introduce us to key spots in your Kasi. Whether it's your favorite hangout spot, a memorable street corner, or the local corner store give us a tour. Share the vibes, the memories, and the significance of these places in your life.

Remember, this challenge is not just about showcasing your iKasi, but about celebrating the diversity and richness of all our iKasis. So, let your iKasi story unfold, and let's make history together!
Icon Interview
Highlight the influential individuals who played a role in your Kasi journey. It could be a neighbour, a friend, a mentor, or anyone who left a mark on your heart.

Interview them and share their stories and the impact they had on your life.
